California
Visitors and residents of California go to Balboa Island, which is a manmade stretch of land just off from Newport Beach. It is home for an annual Parade of holiday Lights. Balboa Island is just 1.71 miles long. Homeowners in this area decorate their home with thousands of colored Christmas lights. Even some take their decorative boats for parade around the island during the holiday season. Residents held a competition for best decorated house, so they decorate in a new ways every year.
Many people also visit Festival of Lights at Mission Inn of Riverside which is located around 60 miles from LA. More than 2 and ½ millions lights are used in decorating the whole Inn. It welcomes 30,000 people on the first night of the festival of light.
Baltimore, Maryland
Baltimore is always been on top position as a beautiful holiday destination. The city is very rich in the Christmas tradition. The city becomes live with color of lights, events and several activities throughout the month of December. The waterfront district of Fell’s Point decorated in a theme of 18th century.

It was started in the year 1978, when the residents decided to bring together the idea of lighting up during the holidays in one single theme. It is being celebrated in that way till date. They turned on all lights on second Sunday of December every year. And this symbolizes the beginning of the famous Nights of Lights of Presentwood.
Chicago, Illinois
Chicago is one of the ideal destination to visit during Christmas holidays. Snow white weather with a sparkling lightings of Christmas makes Chicago a very special destination. The city sparkles starting from the Navy Pier to Millennium Park then to the Miracle Mile.
