Airport delays are the most frustrating part in the holiday season. As holiday season are here, airports tightened security which means more delays. Here are some time saving tips on airport security:
What to wear and what not to wear
The TSA is picky about the clothes, shoes, jewelries you wear. If you do not want yourself to put in more hassle then wear appropriately and you will be out from the security within less time.
Do not wear shoes with lace or the shoes which has difficulty in removing. Maybe you look smarter and perfect in that strappy boots and sandals. But when you have to do hell lot of exercise in removing it in the airport, you will get irritated looks by other co-passengers. Slip-on shoes are perfect for travelling.
Check your clothes for any metal buttons or studs. It may not seem so big but can create serious problem if metal detector starts beeping. Nobody likes to go for additional screening.
If you are wearing metal necklaces, rings, bracelets, and watches, make sure that you have to put everything in the bucket. Better not to wear it or keep it in your carry-on luggage.
If you are wearing belts, it is required to be removed. Wear good fit pants and start removing belts you are in the line for security check.
Some under-wired bras also contain enough metal in it to set off the alarm. So be careful before wearing. It is advisable to wear different type of bras at least at the time of high security during the holiday period.
Coats and Jackets
Jackets and coats must have to go through the X-ray machine, so be prepared to take off every layer. Save your time and take off coats and jackets while you are waiting in the line for the security checking.
Check your pockets
It is highly possible that you might leave phones, keys, coins, and other stuffs in your pocket. And that will put you in unnecessary hassles. Check your pockets before you proceed for scanning.
Liquids in transparent zip lock bag
Make sure that you have put all liquids and gels in the zip lock bag and placed in a tray for screening.
