1. Rincón, Puerto Rico
In the middle of the harsh winter weather, nothing would be more exciting than lying on the beaches of Puerto Rico. Temperature here very rarely goes below 83-degree F. Rincón, is one of the best beach towns in Puerto Rico. Apart from the comfortable temperature, the pristine water of the Caribbean attracts visitors for many years. It is the third richest municipality and home to one of the best surfing beaches in Puerto Rico.
2. Kauai, Hawaii
Kauai is a beautiful island in Hawaii for a winter getaway. The temperature here remains in the high 70s. It is the most visited island of Hawaii. Although the rates of flights, lodging become exorbitantly higher in winter months as compared to the summer months. The most secluded beach to visit in Kauai is Hanalei Bay. It is a horseshoe-shaped beach ideal for lounging and swimming on the beautiful sand. There are hell lots of activities to do here apart from swimming lounging on the beach. You can go for a 4 hour motor-powered raft trips with Na Pali Riders, go for snorkeling, and explore beautiful sea caves.
3. Long Key, Florida
Long key is just over 2 miles long from end to end and is a perfect beach retreat for winter. This isolated island of Florida is under the Long Key State Park. Lots of people here do tent camping in a 1 mile beach area which is fully equipped 60 campsites. Other than the campsite, you have the option to stay in a beautiful nearby resort. Activities like paddling a canoe, hiking on the trails are really fun things to do here. You can also go for a scenic drive on the Overseas Highway which goes to Islamorada on the North and Marathon on the south.
4. Laguna Beach, California
It is one of the most famous beaches because of the reality show named after it. The beach is extremely crowded in summer but fairly crowd free during the winter time. 7 miles of beautiful California coastline draws major attention of the public. The waves here are ideal for boogie boarding. The Laguna Art Museum, Laguna Playhouse, and galleries at the waterfront are some of things to see apart from the activities at the beach.
5. Galveston, Texas
Temperatures here in winter are in low 60s and Pier 61 is perfect place to enjoy and soak in the winter sun. Beach lovers from the North visit much secluded area of West Beach or so called the Galveston Island State Park. Galveston is an old historic town; you will find buildings standing from 1800s. Most of them recently are restored in to antiques stores, restaurants, galleries of fine art and photography, and so on. Also, one of the big attractions apart from beaches is its Indoor Waterpark called Schlitterbahn Galveston Island Indoor Waterpark.
