1. Alta, Utah

Crested Butte is a paradise for skiers and snowboarders. It offers some of the moderate and the most demanding skiing of the Rockies. Crested Butte ski resort is also famous for the reason being it is visited by 2 celebrities namely Bill Johnson who was the first Olympic downhill gold medalist of America and the ex-president Carter and wife Rosalyn. This ski spot starts its season by allowing free skiing to its visitors.
