1. Tanzania – Serengeti National Park

The Serengeti National Park is an exceptional National Park having the largest migration circuit of the world. It is stretched in 15,000 square kilometers area in Tanzania. The park offers excellent wildlife viewing and is one of the top safari destinations of the world. Annual migration time is the best time to visit the park, when a large pack of zebras (about 200,000) and wildebeest (about 1.5 million) migrate to the newer areas to graze new grasses. There are huge numbers of big cats as well. It is out of the world experience.


2. Kenya – Masai Mara National Park

The Masai Mara National Park is located in South-western Kenya. It is named after the Masai tribes who inhabited these regions. The park is famous for unimaginably high population of migrating wildebeest which starts every September and October; this migration is so huge that it is popularly known as the Great Migration. The Great Migration is one of the most striking natural process in which about 1,300,000 wildebeest, 191,000 zebra, and 360,000 Thomson’s gazelle migrates. The park is most famous its population of lions however there are other members from the “Big Five” family also living here such leopard, elephant, buffalo, and rhinoceros. Some of the other animals dwelling in this region are hippopotami, cheetah, zebra, ostrich, giraffe, impala, warthog, gazelles, and other mammals. Masai Mara National Park is the place you should visit if you want to see abundant big cats.


3. South Africa – Kruger National Park

Kruger National Park is stretches in about 2 million hectares of land in South Africa. The park was established in the year 1898 and is now became the best national park of South Africa as well as of the world for the wildlife experience. Kruger National Park is home to about 147 species of mammals, 114 species of reptiles, 336 species of trees, 49 fish, 114 reptiles, and 34 species of amphibians. Apart from collection of so much varied variety of wildlife and vegetation, national park is home to different rock paintings in its famous archaeological sites of Masorini and Thulamela.


4. Botswana – Selinda Reserve

Botswana’s Selinda Reserve is a private sanctuary which offers variety of animals including buffalo, lions, elephants, leopards, wild dog, and more. It is a great reserve to explore by foot on different trails, and canoeing is also very popular. It is highly popular among the seasoned safari visitors because of very high concentration of the wildlife. There are also very good accommodations available here.


5. Zambia – South Luangwa National Park

The South Luangwa National Park of Zambia is located in the Luangwa Valley and is one of the most accessible and popular park in this region. It stretches in 9050km square area. This park is popular for its walking safaris. Walking inside the park to view the wildlife is one of the best ways to experience the park. There are about 60 species of animals 400 different species of birds. The south Luangwa National Park is world famous for its beauty and seclusion. It is also very famous for its largest herds of elephants. Other animals include buffalo, hippos, crocodiles, zebras.
